Berkley

I was thinking about Berkley’s interpretation of what “is”. He was a monist that everything was made of one substance, that substance being God. If you think about it this way then instead of communication being in commune with someone, or having a connection where something is not being communicated through a physical means it is just kind of known, makes more sense. If we are all part of God made of God, and everything is part of God, then we are all really the same. We are connected because we are not truly apart. So we can communicate and receive communication through our senses, but we can also commune in a way that is beyond senses.
