Outside Reading

An interesting piece of literature I have come across is Miguel de Unamuno's "Tragic Sense of Self." If you have not heard of this piece of work, it might be of interest because Unamuno is an existential philosopher who is interested by the interplay of faith and reason and the tension between the two. Interestingly he does not opt for heart over head, but for the paradoxical human being that embodies both. I find the paradoxes discussed in his book very enlightening. That is because life is full of them and that becomes very apparent while reading his work.
