Jesus' Resurrection

When we talked about the bible passage in class, dealing with whether Jesus was resurrected or not and being baptized to show belief in this. I was surprised there were so many different interpretations of it. At the start the passage talks about the people not believing in the resurrection then it moves on to say that indeed Jesus was resurrected. The focus of the discussion was at the end where it says something like if you don’t believe in the resurrection then why are you baptized for the dead. I took it to mean that if you don’t have faith in the resurrection then why are you being baptized. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. That’s the way I took it that you can’t just be a mediocre believer. But many people in class had different theories some about reincarnation and it just goes to show you that not everybody sees things the same way you do.
