Echoes of the Great Song

I read a lot of fantasy books and when you read a lot from a single author you notice their philosophies on life. I read a book called Echoes of the Great Song, by David Gemmell. In this book matter and energy can be manipulated through the use of music. Not anyone can do this but trained people who know what to play can. So then what is the Great Song? My interpretation is that it is God. God is the Great Song and that existence is music. I thought this was cool since we were studying sacred music. If this theory is true then maybe all Music is just a reflection of God, and the reason that music, which is structured and follows patterns, is more liked over music with no pattern is because God has structure and these songs reflect that.
